Consultant - Become a Loyalty Expert
We are Ellipsis, The Loyalty Experts. As a fast-growing specialist consultancy, we help leading Australian and international businesses find, understand, measure, manage and grow customer value. Our client list includes large retailers, banks, insurers, and global airlines. We have offices in Sydney and Melbourne, with clients in New Zealand, Asia and North America.
We are currently looking for a Management Consultant to join our team and become an integral part of our growth journey. This role is open to applicants in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Your Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role primarily cover 4 areas:
- Consulting engagements
- Taking responsibility for producing high quality project deliverables. This includes strong ability to create presentation material that tell a strategic story
- Understanding the client situation, and actively participating in client-facing activities
- Ability to manage projects and ensure deliver on time and scope e.g. project coordination, project and meeting management
- Insights and IP development
- Developing, interpreting, and presenting business insights
- Conducting detailed data analysis and financial modelling
- Conducting research and assembling best practices, innovations and other Ellipsis IP for client projects
- Collaborating with other members of the Ellipsis team to integrate insights into the wider engagement structure and storyline
- Business development
- Helping to develop proposals, promote new Ellipsis services, nurture relationships with prospective clients, and manage the sales pipeline
- Supporting marketing activities e.g. events, publications, blog posts, LinkedIn activity
- Knowledge development
- Keeping up to date on market trends and developments
- Supporting continual development of Ellipsis' proposition and build on Ellipsis IP
Your Skills and Experience
At Ellipsis, we base our recommendations on our extensive expertise in the industries we serve, balancing creativity with data and insights in our strategy development. 1. Technical & experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in strategy consulting, customer strategy or related disciplines
- Strong academic qualifications
- Proven experience managing clients and project deliverables
- Experience with the application of problem-solving and structuring techniques (e.g. First Principles Thinking, Hypothesis Based Problem Solving, the Pyramid Principle)
- Proficient at data analysis and financial modelling
- Experience producing high quality PowerPoint slides
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in client-facing activity essential
- Comfortable managing demands and expectations of both internal and client stakeholders
2. Character attributes
- Good commercial mindset, essential to combine numeracy with strong business acumen
- Self-motivated, self-driven, highly responsible mindset
- Good planning and prioritisation skills
- Positive and creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure, with consistent attention to detail
- Ability to manage timelines and deadlines
- Team player with strong internal and external relationship building skills
3. Domain-specific (beneficial but not essential for candidate)
- Understanding of loyalty, marketing and analytics landscape
- Knowledge of principles of customer analytics, direct marketing and loyalty program management
