Australia Summary
- David Jones has a new app and next year will have a new loyalty program.
- Betty’s Burgers, nib and Latitude all launched new programs.
- Flybuys redemptions grew 30% and membership grew to 9.5 million, Australian debit card usage grew to 1 billion monthly transactions for the first time and Gratifii grew its revenues to $85 million.
- Pokitpal partnered with Enigmatic smile, OneTap with Loyyal, Elevate with Litecard and Virgin with Qatar. Commonwealth Bank launched a new retail media network and Woolworths launched Everyday Rewards redemptions on Everyday Market.
New Zealand Summary
- New World launched its new currency New World Dollars and Woolworths Everyday Rewards launched redemptions to both Air New Zealand Airpoints and Qantas Loyalty.
- Air New Zealand’s Airpoints program is launching a new super-premium tier and reported $215m in cash flow with 70% of that from bank credit cards.
- BNZ launched Payap, a digital wallet and loyalty aggregator using QR-code payments that integrates bank accounts, loyalty, and gift cards.
