Australia
- Qantas Frequent Flyer redemptions will cost 5 to 20% more from August 5.
- Myer One tag rates and active members are up, and the program will also cover newly acquired brands Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Dotti, Portmans, and Jacqui E.
- Endeavour Group’s pub+ now has 400,000 members, Woolworths Everyday Rewards has multi-factor authentication, Reading Cinemas has Reading Rewards to replace Reel Club and SkyCity’s lost its tax appeal and will pay A$38.1 million.
- SAP is launching a new loyalty platform and Rokt has acquired mParticle and is now valued at US$3.5 billion.
New Zealand
- The Commerce Commission plans to cut credit card interchange fees which will likely end credit card rewards in New Zealand.
- Flybuys has shut down with 40 of the team leaving to form IAG’s new Connect360 loyalty unit.
- Westpac’s hotpoints Pay has grown 140% with $11 million in redemptions and Airpoints added 414,000 new members in 2024.
