Australia Update

 

  • Nissan’s Australia and New Zealand's operation was breached late last year, and details on 100,000 customers. were taken.

  • Pizza Hut Australia has been fined $2.5m for breaching spam laws.

  • There are potential implications of the coming data privacy regulation on Woolworths Supermarkets.

  • The NRMA (with PokitPal) and AGL (with Grow My Money Money) both launched new card-linked rewards programs.

 

 

New Zealand

 

  • Coalition loyalty program Flybuys will close before the end of the year.

  • ASB Bank’s True Rewards loyalty program has managed to partner with both Woolworths Supermarkets (issuing Woolworth’s Everyday Rewards points) and competitor supermarket Foodstuffs (True Rewards points can be spent as cash as New World NZ and other brands).
