March 25 Loyalty Market Update

Australia
- Half year results included; Super Retail Group (12 million active members driving 79% of sales), Woolworths’ Everyday Rewards (grew to 10 million active members), Qantas Loyalty (11% rise in active members) and Wesfarmers (9.7 million active Flybuys members).
- CBA opened up its app to non-customers, Westpac added Lawpath and ASIC’s suing IAG.
- In Retail Media Networks, Woolworths Cartology has 4 million weekly active app users and a 15% increase in revenue, Coles 360 grew revenues 21%, Petbarn launched one and Australia Post and Wesfarmers (which now has 12 million customer records) will both launch Retail Media Networks.
New Zealand
- Woolworths Everyday Rewards now has 2 million active members and added both Qantas and Air New Zealand’s frequent flyer programs.
- Airpoints added Sharesis and Shopback hit an annualised cashback rate of $ 5 million.
