October 24 Loyalty Market Update

Australia
- New loyalty program Just Shop will launch this month across Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Dotti, Portmans and Jacquie-E.
- Myer will grow its One loyalty program (and perhaps across the Just Shop brands too).
- While David Jones will this month release a new shopping app and next year add loyalty to it to compete with Myer.
- ShopBack has introduced a monthly subscription for higher cashback while Westpac's app (which includes ShopBack) was ranked best in Australia for the second year.
- The ACCC is investigating supermarkets and their loyalty programs
New Zealand
- Z Energy delayed its new Z Rewards program but continues with Pumped discounts.
- The Warehouse Group’s shifted focus, no longer reporting on its loyalty programs despite 1.9 million members reported earlier in the year.
- Airpoints is targeting new members from the soon-to-close Flybuys base with an Airpoints sweepstakes.
- AIA stopped offering Airpoints on insurance premiums, but Vitality program members still earn Airpoints.
- Grapevine, a cashback app, reached 100,000 users, while Smart Loyalty expanded its B2B coalition with new partners.
